20 years of Edu-Ventures

2003 - First steps

​​In 2003, two young students began their own global journey, laying the foundation for Twomads, the ultimate company for student expeditions and events . As volunteers, their passion for education and travel drove them to organize captivating field trips for local non-governmental organizations in Egypt, giving them first-hand experience in service to others. They also spearheaded summer projects that bridged social and scientific domains, planting the seeds for Twomads and a commitment to educational enrichment through travel. These early experiences ignited their passion for a future where every adventure would become a captivating classroom. They began a quest to perfect Educational Adventures for youth  – now known as Edu-Ventures.

2008 - Expanding Horizons

​In 2008, Arbo and Omar embarked on a new chapter of growth and exploration. Through collaborations with many different organizations, they seized the opportunity to organize larger-scale sporting events involving numerous international schools in Egypt.

​2010 - First International Experience

​Arbo and Omar challenged the conventional notions of youth and educational travel. Breaking new ground, they organized the many trips that were the very first international experiences for many students. This milestone marked a significant step towards their vision of international travel that would embrace new places and new adventures.

​​2013 - Destinations Multiply

​At this time, many more international destinations were added to the list of travel options! Places like Nepal, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Austria were now being offered to students and youth in a diverse array of enriching educational travel experiences.

2016 - Trips for International Schools

​Arbo and Omar were earning the trust and recognition of international schools in Egypt, marking a significant milestone in their journey. Leveraging this trust, the two entrepreneurial nomads began organizing multi-country trips for prominent international schools in Egypt who rely on them to organize their trips abroad.
Reliance and trust are key to memorable travel experiences, as it is not just a student on a physical journey; students traveling with them experience travel with their minds, bodies, and spirituality.

2017- Business, Science and Nature

​Renowned higher educational institutions, including the American University in Cairo, have entrusted Omar and Arbo with running a variety of business, technology, and science projects for youth. Their expertise extends to organizing multi-day trips that can include specific destinations suited to the interests of students. One favorite is the exploration of nature and encounters with wildlife, with a special focus on the extraordinary marine life in the Red Sea.  Immersive nature experiences provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and foster a deep appreciation for the natural world. Projects such as stock market simulations include learning about the technology and mathematical calculations required for success in the business world. If there is an interest in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, there is an adventure to be planned! 

2018 - Global Expansion

​Twomads embarked on an exciting international expansion, opening their doors to student groups from countries such as the USA and Canada. This marked a significant milestone as Arbo and Omar began to connect young individuals from around the world through their educational travel adventures. Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, the world opened up for the many, many students traveling with them.

​2023 - A New Start

​This rich history now flows seamlessly into the birth of Twomads, Inc, symbolizing not just a continuation of professional excellence, but also an evolution. Arbo and Omar bring together their past experiences to shape and redefine the future of educational expeditions. The focus is now Curriculum-Based expeditions for students, offering educational leaders of international schools exactly the personalization they crave! Customized packages that feature the right blend of exciting adventures and educational opportunities include expeditions to see natural wonders, visit innovative global organizations, spend time at Multi-cultural and historical sites, and be a part of community service or academic discovery projects.
